what is the Google Lime Scholarship.
By removing financial and educational obstacles, Google’s scholarship and education program encourage and equips students to become the industry’s future leaders in computing and technology.
As part of their dedication, Google has partnered with Lime Connect, a nonprofit that helps students with disabilities get the support they need to go to college and find fulfilling careers so that they can better assist college-level students with disabilities in achieving their goals in computer science.
Scholarships of $10,000 USD (for students studying in the US) or $5,000 CAD (for students studying in Canada) will be awarded to deserving students for the 2023-2024 school year.
The Google Lime Scholarship is worth $10,000 (or $5,000 CAD) and is open to students from around the world.
Google and Lime Connect have come together to fund this event.

Eligibility & Requirements for the Google Lime Scholarship Program
Candidates must satisfy the following requirements to be considered:
- Have or identify as having a disability (to learn more about how Lime Connect treats people with disabilities, check out the linked article).
You need to be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at that same institution for the 2022-23 school year. - You intend to enroll full-time at a university in the United States or Canada during the 2023–2024 school year.
- Stay on top of your schoolwork and don’t slack off.
- Currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university with the intent of earning a degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrate your aptitude for leading others and your interest in computer science and technology.
- Students currently enrolled in high school are ineligible for the scholarship.
- Timing of the launch and completion of the call for papers
- Beginning in early 2023, we will once again be accepting applications. The scholarship application deadline is on December 5th of every year.
How to apply for Google Lime Scholarship Application
- Visit the scholarship application website during the application period.
- Simply accessing or joining The Lime Network will grant you access to the application. Find a link to our online application system on that page, where you can supply the following details:
- Education, training, and work experience summaries
Current CV and unofficial transcripts - You have the opportunity to show us your interest in computer science through three separate essays.
- A single recommendation letter from an educator, advisor, or former employer (names and email addresses of references must be entered by the application deadline – letters of recommendation themselves are due one week later)
